The group believes in a "doomsday" but in the form of deities releasing the plague called "X'la'mesh".

They worship the Deity know as "Tranid" who promises to kill the deities as long as they bring him sacrifices and gain him a following big enough for him to rule.

TL;DR: the cult puts out coded / encrypted messages through videos which, when unsolved lead the viewer to the recruitment website, where they need to put in a key which they gained along the ARG
